The holidays are over. It's time for something new!

For most people the holiday's are over, for us it is no different. Feeling relaxed and refreshed we have been back and hard at work for two weeks already. Read more about what we are currently working on, here.

Museums and galleries are already hard at work, working on the autumn exhibitions and the budgets for 2014. We have therefore devised a "free" special offer so you can test if your visitors think that the Podcatcher is a good addition to your services and what they think of the museum or gallery in general. Many museums and galleries are looking into the possibilities of Apps. Nice and easy because the visitor uses their own phone. But the amount of downloads of most current Apps are far lower than expected. Most visitors just seem not to be ready yet. We offer a solution to this issue. We just offer you both the Podcatcher and the Podcatcher App so you do not have to choose, and your visitors are free to use both. It's that simple.

Over the last few weeks some new projects have started. Visitors of the Walker Art Gallery(Liverpool), Kröller-Müller Museum(Otterlo) and Östasiatiska museet(Stockholm), can now enjoy the Podcatcher audio tour. And we are also proud to announce that Bristol Museums, the PSV stadium and Bannockburn will be offering the Podcatcher to their visitors soon.

Starting this month the new Podcatcher Classic V2 is available. During the coming months we will be adding another two types of Podcatcher; the Podcatcher Bookmark and the Podcatcher Interactive. More details are available further on in this newsletter.

But don't forget that most general heritage visitors either do not have a smartphone, do have one but don't use it as one, or don't want to use it while visiting. Walker Art Gallery says; We chose the Podcatcher because it is so simple for visitors to use, but also because it requires minimal supervision from our visitor services team. The Podcatcher Classic V2

Starting this month the Podcatcher Classic V2 is available. Besides having a larger memory capacity, it also has an improved ergonomic design and it is suitable for even more detailed visitor research and evaluation.

Soon we will be adding another 2 types of Podcatcher;

1. The Podcatcher Bookmark; It will have an extra button which visitors can use to indicate that they like certain objects so that they can receive further information or want to share it on Facebook or twitter.

2. The Podcatcher Interactive; It has special buttons so you can use the Podcatcher as a remote control to select video's, or for example play an interactive game and control a character.

The Podcatcher Walk-in's are the perfect opportunity to experience the platform yourself and see what it's like for visitors. The Walk-in's have a very informal setting. The idea is for you and your colleagues to take a tour as if you are a visitor and then to meet with one of our Business Managers for a short chat and a coffee. This will give you the opportunity to receive more specific information and ask questions.
