Summer is here and Guide ID is ready for it

News letter June 2013

Museum and heritage sites are getting ready for the summer season. This means that the visitor numbers will rise during the coming months, and so will the amount of Podcatcher users. We are well prepared for this, and shall be helping multiple museums during these busy weeks by providing them with extra Podcatchers for free, so that as many visitors as possible will be able to enjoy the tours.

Are you already making plans for autumn exhibitions? Then please read about the special offer we have for temporary exhibitions, further on in the news letter.

We have launched new projects during the last few weeks. Visitors of the Africa Museum, Östasiatiske Museet (Stockholm), Huygensmuseum Hofwijck and the Garden Museum (London) are now able to enjoy a Podcatcher audio guide. We are also proud to announce that National Museums Liverpool and Autoworld Brussel will soon be offering the Podcatcher audio guides to their visitors..

In the meantime we are working hard on finalizing the Android App and we have just launched a free standard survey for all sites. Further details will follow in the news letter.

Enjoy reading the other articles.

Best wishes,

Special offer for temporary exhibitions

Temporarily a complete audio tour for just £ 1495,-.

Are you thinking of offering an audio guide within your autumn exhibitions, but are not sure about costs? We can supply a complete tour for just £1495,-, including handsets, content and a final research report.

We often hear that museums and heritage sites question the use of audio guides during temporary exhibitions. Reasons for not offering tours are often either costs or the amount of staff time needed for developing a tour. On the other hand we know from research that visitors really appreciate an audio tour.

The Guide ID model for temporary exhibitions is based on split revenues. We supply sufficient ready to use Podcatchers and you make a small investment for developing content. You then rent the tours for £2.00 to visitors and we split the revenues.

You run no risk, only rented tours are charged

Museum and Heritage Show

UK Museums enthusiastic about the Podcatcher platform

Mid May we were at the Museums and Heritage show in London with our brand new show-stand. This was our chance to show the UK museums that besides audio guides we now also offer Visitor Research and Visitor Marketing tools. We received enormous amounts of enthusiastic reactions and the first contracts have been signed in the meantime.

Besides this we also spoke to lots of exhibition designers who are going to implement our concept within their designs. By doing this the Podcatchers add more interactivity which is easy to understand by young and old. For example, the company Bright White is going to be using the Podcatcher for the "Battle of Bannockburn"project.

New functionality

Visitor research and Android App

Our platform is continuously being developed. This month we have added a standard survey in multiple languages. All of our sites are able to use the standard survey for free and offer it to their visitors. By doing so they will continuously be performing research, and the results are automatically available online.

We are also currently working hard on the App for Android. It will be available later this year, along with the already available App for IOS. Visitors will be able to use their own smartphone to take the Podcatcher tour, only extended with images.

By doing this museums will be able to use our platform to cater to ALL visitors, with or without a smartphone.
