Projects in the spotlight
Gallo-Roman Museum - Mount Vernon - Lumen - The McManus - The National Anzac Centre
In recent months, several projects have started worldwide. We give you 5 tips for projects that are definitely worth a visit.
Tip 1:
Gallo Roman Museum, Tongeren, Belgium
One of the best known prehistoric buildings can be found in the south of England: Stonehenge. To find out everything about this special place, you can travel to England, but you can also go to Tongeren in Belgium this winter. A beautiful exhibition has been set up in the Gallo Roman Museum with interviews with archaeologists, 3D visualizations and beautiful scale models. Authentic grave finds testify to the festivals, ceremonies and funeral rituals that colored the lives of Stonehenge people. Atmospheric film images show a glimpse of their culture. The Podcatcher accompanies visitors through the exhibition. Get captivated by Stonehenge: one of the greatest mysteries in human history.
Tip 2:
George Washington's Mount Vernon, Mount Vernon, VA USA
In the United States, we have once again added a special place to our list of customers: Mount Vernon. The estate was once the home of George Washington and it is now one of the most visited historical sites in America. The combination of an 18th century house, lush gardens and grounds, intriguing museum galleries and immersive programs, makes Mount Vernon an historic treasure in Virginia. Come and enjoy their new audio tour with the help of our Podcatchers!
Tip 3:
Lumen - Museum of Mountain Photography
Planning a ski trip to the Italian Alps this winter? Then you must pay a visit to our first Italian customer (with a German touch). A wonderful museum for photography will open this December in the heart of the South Tyrolean Mountains and Dolomites. Take the ski lift and view the beautiful building with a splendid photography collection. All photos have something to do with the mountains.
Tip 4:
The McManus, Dundee, Scotland
In the center of Scottish Dundee you will find the McManus Gallery; a beautiful Gothic building with a beautiful diverse collection. The Podcatcher tells you stories about the natural and archaeological objects, but also about the beautiful art collection. It focuses on three centuries of Scottish art, with an emphasis on art from Dundee itself.
Tip 5:
The National Anzac Center, Albany, Australia
The Podcatcher is now also available down under! The award-winning National Anzac Center is one of Australia's most important cultural pilgrimages. The center overlooks the port from which more than 41,000 men and women left Australia for the First World War.
Immerse yourself in the Anzac legend and follow personal stories through our Podcatcher.
