Guide ID is crossing borders

Newsletter November 2016

After a very busy summer it is time for an autumn update from Guide ID. During the last months we've delivered several bigger and smaller projects, we've traveled the world and we've been opening a new office in the US. Our international ambition is still growing and we would love to help you tell your fantastic stories to people all over the world.

Currently our offices are located in the Netherlands, Belgium, UK and Ireland and in the US. But we've also developed wonderful Podcatcher audio guides in Sweden, Germany and we're busy with a great Portuguese project. You find our complete team on our website, don't hesitate to contact us if we can be of any assistance!

Each year, the Oranje Handelsmissiefonds helps 10 SME’s achieve their international ambitions. Last year Guide ID was one of the winners. We were invited to join their trip to New York, where we were very much inspired and energized by other cultural entrepreneurs and museums.

Have a great autumn!
Best wishes,

the Guide ID team

Projects in the Spotlights

Powerscourt Gardens, Dublin - Royal Palace, Stockholm - De Nieuwe Kerk, Amsterdam - Ephraim Palais, Berlijn

On the east coast of Ireland you find the Powerscourt Estate with its beautiful Powerscourt Gardens. These gardens are in the top 3 of most beautiful gardens in the world according to National Geographic. We developed a unique outdoor Podcatcher audio guide for this magnificent location and we also provide the MapMyVisit after experience to the audience. We used special waterproof IDentifiers to assure a weatherproof tour.

For the exhibition ‘Royal wedding dresses’ in the Royal Palace of Stockholm, Sweden we made an audio guide that guides visitors along five royal wedding dresses. The exhibition was opened in the presence of Queen Silvia, Crown princess Victoria and Princess Sofia from Sweden. The Podcatchers are presented to the public in a custom made self service cabinet.

De Nieuwe Kerk in Amsterdam opened a spectacular exhibition on 90 years Ms Marilyn Monroe. A special feature of the Podcather audio guide is the high number of AV-sync IDentifiers that are being used. To be able to show multiple videos in a small space, in different languages, this is a very simple and adequate solution. Also the content of the audio clips is slightly different than what most tours contain. De Nieuwe Kerk chose to provide listeners with short interviews with famous Dutch people about their memories and opinion about Ms Monroe.

On November 25th the exhibition Palace.City.Berlin. will be opened in the Ephraim Palais in Berlin. This special exhibition will show the role of the palace of Berlin for the city and its inhabitants. At the moment we're still busy recording the audio for this tour that will be available in German and English. We also developed a childrens' tour in which we use our quiz tool and score-IDentifier.
