A good start to 2014

Newsletter January 2014

At the beginning of the year we take a brief look back at 2013. A year within which we welcomed many new clients from different countries. We have also launched new and exciting projects with current clients.

Besides our walk-ins where new and current clients are always welcome, we were also at the M+H Show in London, the Museum congress in Den Bosch and we organised our own symposium in the Kröller-Müller museum. In 2013 we also launched the new Podcatcher line and improved the Podcatcher App. The App is now compatible with both IOS and Android. Read more about the App in the article below.

Together with are content partners we are working hard on the tours that we will be delivering in the first quarter. We are proud to be working with the Hermitage Amsterdam, the James Joyce Centre in Dublin, Castell Coch in Cardiff, the gardens of Appeltern and the city Archives Amsterdam.

Not a client yet, but interested in the Platform? Please contact us and ask about the trial offer. With no financial risk you can trial the Podcatcher platform including the App for 6 months. Further on in this newsletter we will explain more about the trial.

To sum up, our year has started well, and we wish you all a very successful 2014!

New projects

A warm welcome to our new customers

UK & Ireland:
James Joyce Centre
One of Dublin’s best surprises!
At the beginning of Spring a highlights tour of the house will be available to all visitors. The James Joyce center is a real Gem in Dublin. The house was built in 1784 by Francis Ryan for Valentine Brown, the Earl of Kenmare, who used it as his townhouse. The plasterwork here was done by Michael Stapleton, one of the finest stuccadores of the time.

Hermitage Amsterdam
Expedition Silk Road, Treasures from the Hermitage.
From the first of March 2014 up until the 5th of September 2014 the Expedition Silk Road, Treasures from the Hermitage will be on show at the Hermitage Amsterdam. With help of the Podcatcher, visitors will be able to travel the trade routes themselves. Discover Antique treasures and cross barren areas , where centuries ago convoys trekked passed kingdoms, monasteries and nomadic tribes. The tour is being written by our partner Marie Baarspul, from Een Woord, een beeld and will be available in Dutch English and German.

Renewed App now available for IOS and Android

Audio guide for Smart-phones

Our customers have the choice to offer audio tours on the Podcatcher, but also as an App for Smart-phone users. The Podcatcher App has been completely renewed and offers three ways of accessing content; Out of a list, via a keypad or with a QR-code. Besides images the App can also show the tour in text form, this makes it suitable for hearing impaired visitors as well. The latest version also has the possibility of showing video's.

Download the App from the App store or from Google Play, just search for “Podcatcher Guide ID”. You can take a look at the tours of a few customers who have already launched the App. Most current customers have chosen to offer the App as a free service, but it is also possible to charge for the App. If you want more information on the App, then please contact one of our Business Managers

We chose the Podcatcher because it was a Guide and research tool in one.

The Podcatcher Walk-in's are the perfect opportunity to experience the platform yourself and see what it's like for visitors. The Walk-in's have a very informal setting.
